Equipment principle
Ion exchange softening technology is an ion exchange device that fills cation exchange resin in an exchange container, and its full name is cation exchange column, referred to as softening bed. The ion exchange softening object of water is the process of hard minerals, mainly calcium ions and magnesium ions being exchanged or replaced by sodium ions. The softener exchanges the calcium-magnesium hard minerals dissolved in water with the soft mineral sodium on the softener resin. All three of these minerals are positively charged ions called cations. In the softening bed, water containing hard minerals passes through an ion exchange resin to undergo an ion exchange reaction. The softening bed contains millions of tiny polystyrene/divinylbenzene balls, all of which contain many negative charge exchange locations that attract positive ions. When the resin is in a regenerative state, these negative charge exchange positions are occupied by positively charged sodium ions. When calcium and magnesium pass through the resin tank, they come into contact with the resin glomerules and replace sodium ions from the exchange position and are removed.
Operation effect and application field
The installed softener device has met the requirements of use, and the degree of trouble-free automation is high, which meets the water of the gas injection boiler.
It is generally used in front of the reverse osmosis device to extend the time of inorganic salt fouling in the reverse osmosis system and protect the reverse osmosis membrane system. It can also be set in front of the electric desalination device, so that the water quality entering the electric desalination device meets the water intake requirements, preventing the scaling of the membrane block of the electric desalination device and affecting the effluent quality. In addition, it can be used in medium and low pressure boiler make-up industry and chemical, power generation, papermaking and other process water occasions to remove the hardness of water.
